The Factory at The District is accepting applications to join our team of rock stars. We offer full and part time positions in all aspects of our operations.

JOB FUNCTIONS:
• Greet guests upon entry to facility
• Scan and examine tickets or passes to verify authenticity
• Inform security and management of any witnessed rule infractions
• Assist with keeping the venue safe, clean, and presentable to the guest
• Resolve guest complaints or problems with accessing tickets on their mobile device
• Guide guests to bars, restrooms, box office or provide other instructions or assistance in case of emergency
• Ensure guests are safely and responsibly enjoying the show
• Work alongside security to monitor egress of all guests once show is complete
• Work with fellow staff members at the end of show to close the venue – this may include collecting discarded items from the main floor or reserved sections, picking up and properly storing event equipment such as chairs, barricade, Etc.
• May write reports of daily activities and irregularities such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences

QUALIFICATIONS:
• High school diploma or equivalent experience required
• Ability to perform duties in a professional manner and appearance
• Ability to make independent and good judgment decisions within proper policy and procedures
• Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
• Acute sense of judgment, tact and diplomacy
• A strong sense of teamwork and ability to execute programs
• Position requires constant standing, climbing stairs, lifting and carrying 50 lbs+

THE ROLE:
As a seller you will be assigned to and responsible for a point of sale in the venue where artist merchandise is sold. Prior to the event you will be responsible for taking inventory and preparing the stand display. After the event, the seller is responsible for closing out which includes a final count on the remaining merchandise which is returned.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Ensure an excellent experience for each fan by providing prompt and thorough customer service
· Maintain accurate cash handling while processing purchases with the POS (point of sale)
· Properly handle guest credit/debit cards and applicable transactions
· Prepare your stand display before the event begins so that fans can view what is for sale
· Inventory- all items must be physically counted prior to the start of the event and again at the end of the show
· Assist fans with their purchases by sharing merchandise information such as pricing and sizing
· Work in a fast-paced, often loud, but exciting environment
· Maintain your stand throughout the duration of the event

REQUIREMENTS:
· Must be able to work up to 12 hours per shift
· Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs using proper lifting techniques
· Ability to stand for long periods of time
· Due to the hours scheduled applicants must have a reliable transportation
· Must have strong communication skills
· Must have cash handling experience
· Prior relatable experience is a plus

THE ROLE:
As the stage manager you will act as a right hand to the Production Manager and oversee all lights, sound, video, stage build, etc.; and call all technical cues during performances. You will work directly with the tour and stagehands to ensure a successful and safe load in, load out, and show.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Display a professional and personable attitude with touring and venue personnel
• Act as liaison between the touring crew and local crew
• Responsible for safe and consistent operation of all equipment 
• Oversee the entire load in, show, and load out.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Excellent organizational skills
•Attention to detail
•Ability to multitask
•Ability to remain calm under pressure 
•Available for long shifts, including nights and weekends (typical show day runs about 16-18 hours)
• At least 3 years prior tour and stage production experience 
• Experience in stage lighting, audio, and basic video systems

THE ROLE:
The Factory at The District is seeking a charismatic, organized, and versatile Production Manager who is passionate about production and setting a new standard for accommodating the needs of touring artists.  This person will have meticulous attention to detail, an enthusiastic personality, and most importantly, a passion for live music. The Production Manager is a full-time salaried position that reports to the General Manager and Talent Buyer.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Oversee all elements and aspects of show and event production, including:
• Show advances and execution
• Venue spec sheets and reference materials
• Show systems & templates tools
• Budget development and oversight
• Suppler development and maintenance
• Venue production cost oversight and management
• Represent the Factory as production and event manager for all shows and private events. 
• Develop promoter representative staff pool for assignment to shows produced by The Factory. Assign and manage show production reps to confirmed shows.
• Manage and schedule the in-house and/or 3rd party production labor for all shows, events and rentals. 
• Generate budgets and pricing for artist and special events developed by talent buyers.
• Assist with accounting close of all shows produced by division. Task includes artist pre-settlement and settlement oversight, venue settlement, and show accounting reconciliation.
• Negotiate production and show related supplier agreements.
• Deliver all productions within vetted and agreed upon budgets.
• Assist Marketing with all on-site fan and partnership initiatives, including media support, fan initiatives, and social media interactions.
• Assist Sponsorship with all tour and show alliance partnership initiatives, including staffing support, show activations, logistics, and artist relations.
• Assist Ticketing with ensuring all venue ticketing set ups are built to ensure the best fan experience including site holds, production holds, and artist allocations.
• Develop and implement operational policy and procedures for the Production Department.
• Assist in the development, establishment and maintenance of production strategies to meet organizational objectives in terms of the effective management and fan engagement of the production of all Factory events.  

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
• Show production experience at clubs, theatres, and arenas
• Show settlement experience at club, theatre, and arena level
• Festival production experience
• Artist touring experience
• Familiarity with Ticketmaster, Eventbrite, Show Clix, Audience View, and Paciolan audits
• Data entry experience
• Basic health and safety training
• Knowledge of OSHA rules and regulations 
• Experience with Microsoft Office products, specifically Excel 
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to multi-task
• Handles complex functions or transactions, including priority accounts or transactions that require error-free work
• Can resolve problems related to correct data entry procedures
• Ability to effectively communicate across departments with a common goal in mind
• Self-starter & motivated to work creatively & independently
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
• Desire to be exposed to new music and become acquainted with our artists and fans

GENERAL DUTIES:

COVID-19 UPDATES

 

The Factory at The District no longer requires proof of Covid-19 vaccinations or negative Covid-19 tests, unless otherwise required by an artist for their upcoming show at our venue.

 

If you are planning to attend or purchase a ticket to an upcoming show, we ask that you visit that show’s event page here on TheFactorySTL.com to see what specific Covid-19 policies might be in place, as each show may have different restrictions. Face masks are still encouraged, but are no longer mandatory.
