Juan Esteban Aristizábal Vásquez, better known by his stage name Juanes, is a Colombian musician renowned for his contributions to the Latin rock and pop genres. Born on August 9, 1972, in Medellín, Colombia, Juanes developed an early passion for music, influenced by traditional Latin American sounds and rock legends such as Led Zeppelin and Metallica. He began his musical career in the early 1990s as a member of the rock band Ekhymosis, which achieved significant success in Colombia. However, it was his decision to pursue a solo career in 1998 that catapulted him to international stardom.

In 2000, Juanes released his debut solo album, "Fíjate Bien," which earned him three Latin Grammy Awards and marked the beginning of a remarkable solo career. His subsequent albums, including "Un Día Normal" (2002) and "Mi Sangre" (2004), solidified his status as a global Latin music icon. Juanes is celebrated for his heartfelt lyrics, which often address themes of love, social justice, and Latin American identity. Songs like "A Dios le Pido," "La Camisa Negra," and "Me Enamora" have become anthems, resonating with audiences across the world and earning him numerous accolades, including Grammy and Latin Grammy Awards.
